According to the data released by Luo Bingsheng on July 3, an official from CISA, as constant price hiking for steelmaking ingredients in H1, the production and sales cost for China's medium and large steelmakers had swelled by 20%. However, in January to May of current year, China's eighty medium and large steelmakers just made a total profit of 42.8 billion yuan, dropping by 2% year over year. Meanwhile, during the given period, the sales profit ratio just stood at 2.91%, decreasing by 0.67% year over year. As a consequence, it was of paramount importance for China's steelmakers to cut their operational cost and enhance their profitability.
